💡 Pro Tip — D.E. Powder Needs Replenishing After Each Bump. Every time you bump the filter, a small amount of D.E. powder passes through to the pool (it's harmless and dissolves quickly). After several bumps, add a fresh scoop of D.E. powder through the skimmer to maintain peak filtration. A full teardown and recharge is typically needed once per season — far less often than backwashing a sand filter all summer.

⚠️ D.E. Powder Handling. Diatomaceous Earth is a fine powder — always add it through the skimmer with the pump running, never directly into the filter. Wear a dust mask when handling dry D.E. powder.
