Polaris — EPIC Series Robotic Pool Cleaners Polaris EPIC 8640 — Drop It In. One Button. Spotless Pool.

The Polaris EPIC 8640 is a high-performance corded robotic pool cleaner built for serious, reliable cleaning of inground pools up to 50 feet. Drop it in, press a button, and it goes to work — scrubbing and vacuuming the floor, climbing the walls, cleaning the coves, and tackling the waterline with its Double Helix brush system and cyclonic suction. When it's done, press Easy Lift and pull it out at the waterline. That's it.

What the EPIC 8640 Does

The EPIC 8640 is built around one goal — clean the entire pool, thoroughly, every single time, without any effort on your part. It connects to a standard power supply via a 60-foot tangle-reducing swivel cable, runs entirely on its own internal motor system completely independent of your pool pump, and covers every surface from the deepest point of the floor all the way up to the waterline. The rear flow outlet actively propels it up walls and over obstacles like the main drain and pool stairs — surfaces where most robotic cleaners slow down or get stuck. When the cycle ends, press the Easy Lift button and it climbs to the waterline, rapidly evacuating water so it's nearly weightless when you pull it out.

Two Cleaning Modes — One Touch Each
⬇️

Floor Only

Focused, fast floor coverage — the EPIC 8640 stays on the pool bottom and vacuums up dirt, debris, sand, and sediment. Use this when your walls and waterline are clean and you just need a quick floor pass before a swim or after a storm.

⏱ 1.5 Hour Cycle
🔲

Floor, Walls & Waterline

Complete top-to-bottom coverage — floor, walls, coves, and waterline in one cycle. The Double Helix brushes scrub every surface while the cyclonic vacuum locks all of it in the 4L canister. Your go-to mode for a complete weekly clean.

Key Features
🧬

Front & Rear Double Helix Brushes

The EPIC 8640 has Double Helix brushes at both the front and rear of the unit — not just one set like most robotic cleaners. The patent-pending staggered rubber blade design agitates stuck-on algae and biofilm while actively channeling debris toward the large center inlet with every pass. More scrubbing contact, more debris collected.

🌀

Cyclonic Vacuum Technology

Powerful cyclonic action creates a continuous vortex inside the 4L canister — separating debris from the water flow and locking it in place without clogging. Suction stays strong and consistent from the first minute of the cycle to the last, even with a full debris load.

💨

Rear Flow Outlet Propulsion

The rear flow outlet channels water discharge directly backward, providing active forward thrust that propels the EPIC 8640 up inclines and over obstacles with real power. It doesn't just navigate walls — it climbs them aggressively, keeping suction contact with the surface the entire way up.

⚙️

Dual Traction Motor — Tighter Turn Radius

Independent dual motors drive each track separately, giving the EPIC 8640 a significantly tighter turn radius than single-motor designs. Better maneuverability around stairs, the main drain, and tight corners means more complete coverage and fewer missed spots on every cycle.

🔵

Continuous Treaded Wheelbase

The continuous treaded track system provides maximum surface contact area — creating a stronger suction seal on the pool floor and better grip for wall climbing. Ideal for climbing stairs and navigating over the main drain without losing traction or suction.

🅿️

Easy Lift Removal System

Press the Easy Lift button and the EPIC 8640 navigates to the waterline on its own, rapidly evacuating water from the unit as it rises. By the time it reaches the surface it weighs almost nothing — no stooping, no straining, no fishing the cleaner off the pool floor after the cycle ends.

🔄

60 ft Tangle-Reducing Swivel Cable

The 60-foot low-torque watertight swivel cable reaches every corner of pools up to 50 feet long without tangling. The swivel joint rotates freely as the cleaner changes direction — eliminating the cord knots and cable drag that interrupt cleaning cycles on lesser units.

🗂️

4L Large Transparent Canister

The oversized 4-liter filter canister has a transparent lid so you can see at a glance when it's time to empty — no guesswork, no opening it to check. Remove the canister, shake out the debris, spray with a hose, and reinstall. No bags, no tools, no mess.

🧺

Powder-Coated Alloy Caddy

The included powder-coated alloy caddy is built to last outdoors through years of pool season use. It holds the EPIC 8640 off the ground between uses, makes transport from storage to pool deck easy, and keeps the cord organized so it's ready to deploy on the next cycle.

🌲 Built for NEPA Pool Owners. Northeast Pennsylvania pools deal with heavy seasonal debris — leaves, pollen, insects, and organic material that settles on floors and climbs onto walls all season long. The EPIC 8640's front-and-rear Double Helix brushes and rear-outlet propulsion system are specifically engineered to handle the kind of wall scrubbing and deep floor cleaning that NEPA pools need. Run the 2.5-hour full cycle once a week and your pool handles itself between service visits.
