Inground Pool Liners — L-Shaped Pools Lazy L & True L Vinyl Liners — Precision Fit for Every Angle

L-shaped pools are the smart choice for yards that need to do double duty — a deep end for diving on one side, a shallow lounging area on the other, separated by a distinctive corner that defines the whole layout. That interior corner is also the most technically demanding point in the entire liner installation. Blue Bottom Pools has the experience to fit both Lazy L and True L configurations correctly — measuring the full geometry of both sections and seating the liner precisely through the transition so the finished result is clean, taut, and wrinkle-free from corner to corner.

📐 Lazy L vs. True L — And Why the Corner Changes Everything
🔲

True L — Sharp 90° Corner

A True L pool has a strict 90-degree interior corner where the two sections meet — the most geometrically precise version of the shape. The liner must be cut and seated to hold that sharp angle cleanly without pulling or wrinkling at the corner point, which requires careful measurement of both sections independently.

〰️

Lazy L — Angled or Offset Corner

A Lazy L softens the transition with a diagonal or angled cut across the interior corner — adding visual flow while still clearly defining two distinct swimming areas. The angled corner requires its own precise measurement and seating technique to prevent the liner from pulling tight or bunching along the diagonal.

📏

Two Pools, One Liner

In both configurations, the liner must span two distinct rectangular sections of different dimensions — measured, fabricated, and installed as a single continuous piece. The junction between the two sections is where every installation rises or falls. We measure both sections fully and install with the precision the shape demands.

💡 Why L-Shaped Liners Cost More. L-shaped pools require a liner that spans two distinct sections of different dimensions in a single continuous piece — more material, more complex fabrication, and significantly more skill at the interior corner during installation. Getting the corner right the first time is what separates a liner that looks sharp and lasts years from one that bags, wrinkles, and causes problems at the junction point.
🔧 Installation Is Included. Every liner purchase through Blue Bottom Pools includes professional on-site installation by our experienced crew. We drain your existing pool, remove the old liner, inspect and repair the pool floor and walls as needed, install the new liner with precise corner seating through both the True L or Lazy L transition, and begin the refill. We handle the entire process — you just pick your pattern.

Tile-line borders look especially striking on L-shaped pools — the border runs cleanly through both sections and around the interior corner, giving the full perimeter a defined, finished edge.
⚠️ Liner pricing is for the liner itself and installation labor. Water refill, any necessary floor or wall repairs, and additional services are quoted separately. Pricing is based on approximate overall pool size — exact pricing is confirmed after on-site measurement of both sections. Contact us for a precise quote on your specific pool.
