The Lungs of Your Pool: Professional Filter Cleaning.

Full Disassembly & Deep Cleaning for DE and Cartridge Systems

Backwashing is just a rinse. We give your filter a detail. Your filter is responsible for removing dirt, oils, and bacteria from your water. But over time, debris gets packed deep inside the pleats and grids where a simple backwash can't reach. If your pressure gauge is running high or your water flow feels weak, it’s time to open the tank.

Why Is This Service Necessary?

Think of your pool filter like a vacuum cleaner. If the bag is full, it stops picking up dirt.
  • Protect Your Pump: A clogged filter causes high pressure, forcing your pump to work twice as hard. This can burn out the motor and lead to expensive repairs.
  • Crystal Clear Water: A clean filter traps much smaller particles than a dirty one, polishing your water to a sparkle.
  • Algae Prevention: Old filter media often holds onto algae spores, causing "phantom algae" that keeps coming back even after you shock the pool.

What We Do: The "Deep Clean" Process

We don't just hose it down. We perform a complete breakdown of the filter vessel.

For Cartridge Filters:

  • Disassembly: We open the tank and remove all cartridge elements.
  • Deep Wash: We pressure-wash the pleats to remove impacted dirt, hair, and oils.
  • Degreasing: If necessary, we treat the cartridges to break down suntan oils and lotions that clog the fabric.
  • Inspection: We check the bands and end-caps for cracks to ensure the cartridge doesn't need replacement.

For DE (Diatomaceous Earth) Filters:

  • Grid Removal: We take out the entire grid assembly (the internal skeleton).
  • Muck Removal: We wash off the heavy, cakey sludge of old DE powder and debris.
  • Fabric Inspection: We inspect every grid for small tears or holes. (Even a tiny tear puts DE powder back into your pool).
  • - Recharge: After reassembly, we add the correct amount of fresh DE powder to coat the grids perfectly.
  • Manifold Check: We check the top manifold for cracks, which is a common cause of cloudy water.

When Should You Book This?

  • DE Filters: At least twice a year (typically mid-season and at closing/opening).
  • Cartridge Filters: Every 3 to 6 months, depending on the size of the filter and how much you use the pool.
  • Immediately: If your pressure gauge reads 8–10 PSI higher than your clean starting pressure.

Stop Fighting High Pressure

A clean filter is the secret to a trouble-free pool. Schedule your filter cleaning and let the water flow freely again.
